Description

It is a photograph of Japanese Canadians arriving at Tashme Camp, which was a World War II internment camp in British Columbia. There is a long line of children, one to two deep, with some adults behind them. The centre of the picture shows a car, behind it a truck full of people. Further behind, it is possible to make out a few more vehicles. In the background there are some buildings, with mountains with some snow and trees.
This relates to East Asian migration as it shows that many of them lived in the area. It also relates to how Japanese people were treated during WWII, not just in Canada, but in America as well.
